evolution: Nasce Il camion del futuro!"
ARCHICAB
é un progetto di ricerca iniziato nel 1994 su nuovi
concetti di cabine per Autoveicoli merci e passeggeri. Nel
1996 nasce "Modulo3 concept" veicolo per
il trasporto merci su lunghe distanze, oggetto della tesi
di laurea di Donato Nappo, dal titolo "Nuova concezione
degli interni della cabina di un autocarro", discussa
al Politecnico di Milano, facoltà di Architettura,
relatore Prof. Arturo Dell'Acqua Bellavitis.

Nel
2004 è la volta di "Modulo 03 evolution"
l'evoluzione del concetto frutto delle esperienze di Donato
Nappo, del team di Designmotion C.A. con l'ing. Aldo Storti
ed Erredue Prototipi, che ha seguito tutte le fasi costruttive
del prototipo fino alla realizzazione finale del modello.
Il progetto "Modulo3 concept" è stato selezionato
dalla Biennale internazionale del design di Saint-Etienne
(Francia) per l'originalità del design ed è
stato esposto alla manifestazione francese dal 5 al 14 novembre
2004.

Auto& Design_Italy_ Issue number 109: "The discreet
appeal of the HGV. This was the spring-board for Donato Nappo,
an architecture graduate of Milan Polytechnic with specialisation
in Industrial Design (tutor prof.Arturo dell'acqua Bellavitis,assisted
by prof.giancarlo Quartieri) when He chose the design of an
articulated truck cabin, developped on the mechanical platform
of the Renault Magnum, as the subject of his thesis.
Donato Nappo's research essentially deals with the more current
than ever theme of the interior of truck cabins. His material
aims at multiple objectives, of which the fundamental one
is redefining the interior architecture of the cabin, addressing
the quality of the working environment and, more generally,
the quality of life on board.
The outcome of this methodological approach was the definition
of modulo 3, a high-level driver's cab that offers a flat-floored
all-round-vision cabin characterised by a protected interior
area and a fully-featured bathroom. The vehicle's name was
a deliberate choice, in that it is made from three basic structural
modules. The first is the overall chassis, engine and mechanical
group. The second, the two separate cabin support-a pair of
towers that enclose, respectively, the passenger cell and
the bathroom. The third module is the cabin itself, finished
to ergonomic criteria with the most modern and advanced comforts,
including variable-intensity interior lights, couchette with
real-bed dimentions, fridge and microwave oven".

3. A model sustainable heavy truck based on new and clean
technologies - 1996
My project essentially deals with the theme of the "travelling
living and working".
I thought to a working category that is always on the road:
the truckers. So I studied for an idea to get more comfortable
their travel. I concentrated myself to the interior of truck
cabins for very long interstate truck transport services.
His material aims at multiple objectives, of which the fundamental
one is redefining the interior architecture of the cabin,
addressing the quality of the working environment and, more
generally, the quality of life on board. The outcome of this

"Modulo 3" is equipped with propulsion ibrid system
of diesel engine and fuel cell. For interior cab the energy
of devices is made by the solar panels put on the roof of
cab.


Press_release:
"Modulo 3 evolution" is a concept of safe
heavy truck. The particular shape of the cab -over with
the back rear place of drive and the windshield tilted towards
the inside let to the driver the greater possibility of survival
in case of frontal impact against a heavy vehicle, in how
much has a greater given vital space from the structural conformation
of the same one. In order to reduce the consequences in case
of incidents of the heavy vehicle with automobiles or pedestrians
it is chosen to equip the vehicle of lateral fairings both
of the tractor and the trailer, therefore not only for function
of aerodynamic type, but above all in order to prevent that
in the impact the joint of the car or pedestrian under truck
happens

Lo
sviluppo del progetto è avvenuto con tecnologie digitali
e software di Progettazione CAD, fino alla realizzazione finale
del modello. I modelli sono stati realizzati in Prototipazione
Rapida.
"Modulo
03 evolution" è stato realizzato combinando
piu' tecnologie. Il corpo ed il cassone posteriore sono stati
fresati, le ruote sono in nylon nero, per rendere la matericità
della gomma, tutte le parti trasparenti ed i cerchioni sono
stati realizzati in stereolitografia e successivamente le
prime sono state verniciate con colori trasparenti, mentre
